SET FABRICATION — the moon surface

The goal of this stage set was to mimic the surface of the moon (rocks + dust), with the least amount of touchups + resets in between takes.
FABRICATION PROCESS
Tested different particles/materials best suited for size and texture of moon surface dust. Settled on several hundred pounds of all-purpose sand, mixed with black powder + flour for coloring.

Designed with a vintage, Southern California aesthetic with motifs from film.
